Why the widest size is not automatically the best fit
A size that spans 43cm is one set of straps doing the work of two or three narrower sizes. At either end of that span the harness is being asked to be something it was not cut for:
- At the bottom of the range the straps are pulled to their tightest. Spare webbing bunches, buckles and sliders move round to places they were not meant to sit, and a padded panel sized for a bigger chest can sit too far down or too far forward.
