Track a growing puppy
A puppy goes through two or three harnesses before it stops growing, and most owners find out a size is finished when the dog backs out of it. Record the chest as it changes and the guessing stops.

Starting a record gives you a private link. That link is the record — bookmark it, or send it to whoever else walks the dog. There is no password to forget and no sign-up between you and the answer, which for something used once a month is the difference between a tool and a chore.
Anyone holding the link can read and add to that one record, the same as a shared document. Nobody without it can find the page.
What it can tell you
Two measurements a fortnight or more apart give a growth rate, and a rate crossed against the size the dog is in gives the date that size runs out. Closer together than that and you are mostly measuring where you put the tape, so no projection is offered — a guess dressed as a date would be worse than nothing.
